The Red Palace Unveils Visual Identity, Marking the First Chapter in Its Story Ahead of Opening
Boutique Group, the hospitality company fully owned by the Public Investment Fund, has announced the unveiling of The Red Palace’s visual identity, introducing the first chapter of its story to the world ahead of its highly anticipated opening. Rooted in the palace’s royal heritage, the identity is more than a brand mark: it is an early expression of the values, craftsmanship and cultural legacy that will come to define the future guest experience.
Drawing directly from the palace’s authentic architecture and historic character, the identity translates the building’s design language into a visual system that speaks to its origins. Every element, from its form to its detailing, has been developed to reflect the craftsmanship embedded in The Red Palace itself, offering a first glimpse of the sensibility guests can expect once its doors open.
‘This identity is the first chapter of a story we have long been entrusted to tell,’ said Sami Alogla, Head of Marketing and Brand at Boutique Group ‘It draws from the palace’s own history and architecture, and carries forward the responsibility we feel in preserving this heritage while introducing it to the world.’
The identity has been developed as a considered translation of the palace itself, with each of its elements tied to a feature physically present within its walls. At its center sits the rose, one of The Red Palace’s defining architectural symbols, reimagined from a carved rosette found within the palace’s original plasterwork and reintroduced as the emblem’s focal point.
This is set within a diamond form, drawn from the geometry of the palace’s façade and selected for the balance and symmetry it brings to the design, its inner structure echoing the diamond motifs found throughout the building. The identity’s linear patterns take their reference from the lines, angles and proportions observed across the palace’s architecture, from its ornamental ironwork to the geometry of its interiors, distilled into a clear and refined visual language, while a further layer of the mark draws on a national symbol long associated with The Red Palace, offering a quiet acknowledgment of the building’s place within the Kingdom’s wider history.
Together, these elements have been assembled not as ornamentation, but as a deliberate expression of the palace’s heritage, ensuring the identity carries its history forward rather than introducing a new and unrelated visual language.
The unveiling marks an important milestone in the palace’s transformation into an ultra-luxury destination, setting the stage for The Red Palace’s opening later this year and reaffirming Boutique Group’s commitment to preserving and reimagining Saudi Arabia’s royal heritage for a global audience.
