Tarabut Secures US$50 Million in Strategic Financing to Deepen Its Focus on Saudi Arabia

On the sidelines of Money20/20 Middle East, Tarabut, the regulated infrastructure platform operating across Saudi Arabia, the UAE and Bahrain, today announced US$50 million (SAR 187 million) in strategic financing from a group of Saudi Arabia’s leading financial institutions and family business groups. The backers include Riyad Bank, the X-Tech Fund managed by SAB Invest, GIB Saudi Arabia, Zamil Group and Kanoo Ventures, part of Yusuf bin Ahmed Kanoo Group, alongside other leading regional institutions.

Tarabut has processed more than 5 billion API calls across the region, connecting banks, distributors, and consumers on a single regulated platform. This strategic financing sharpens the company’s absolute focus on Saudi Arabia, the region’s largest financial market and the epicentre of its embedded finance vision.

The capital powers complete, end-to-end embedded finance journeys: verification, decisioning, and financing brought together in one seamless flow at the precise moment of need, delivered entirely under the partner institution’s own brand. The most acute friction in the market remains among small and medium-sized enterprises. Across the region, financial institutions are working to reach more creditworthy SMEs, but traditional underwriting systems often rely on last year’s static paperwork rather than real-time cash flow, and businesses that do secure approval may still wait weeks for vital capital.

Tarabut enables financial institutions to complement traditional documentation with real financial behaviour, giving lenders live cash-flow visibility and cutting the time to finance from weeks of administrative lag to the exact moment of need. The business never leaves the transaction moment, and the lender never loses the customer. This same advanced capability helps financial institutions gain a clearer view of millions of consumers who may be difficult to evaluate through traditional credit frameworks, supporting broader access-to-finance ambitions under Saudi Vision 2030 and the Financial Sector Development Program.
