Zain KSA and DataVolt Sign MoU to Develop Data Centers in Saudi Arabia

Zain KSA, the leading provider of digital services, has announced a non-binding Memorandum of Understanding (MoU) with DataVolt, a global investor, developer, and operator of data centers, for a partnership to develop facilities across Saudi Arabia, supporting growing demand for cloud services, digital applications, and artificial intelligence.

The MoU was signed at LEAP 2026. The strategic collaboration combines Zain KSA’s capabilities in telecommunications networks and infrastructure and digital services with DataVolt’s expertise in developing and operating high-performance data centers. The two companies aim to expand Saudi Arabia’s digital infrastructure ecosystem and strengthen its readiness for rapid growth in the data economy.

The partnership will develop flexible, scalable capacity to meet Zain KSA’s future requirements, while providing additional capacity for government entities, businesses, large enterprises, cloud service providers, digital content companies, and digital platforms. It will also deliver the computing power required to run and process advanced AI applications.

The planned data centers will be designed with a focus on energy efficiency, sustainability, resilience, and scalability. They will also feature infrastructure capable of supporting high-density computing, advanced cooling systems, and high-capacity connectivity in line with the requirements of modern cloud services and data- and AI-driven applications.
